Forum Rules & Regulations

HFFMForum General Rules & Regulations

1. Multiple forum accounts

Every user can only have one forum account, this is all that's permitted. This is because it is basically easier for the moderators to moderate the forum. If you have more than one account the accounts will either be merged together or your account will be formally banned and you'll have to stick to the account that we don't ban. This is purely at the management’s discretion. If you make a new account after your original account gets banned, you will be IP banned from making new accounts until your ban runs out (If it's not a perm ban).

2. Do not avoid the filter

As you know, Habbo has a filter in place and so does the forum. You are not allowed to avoid the filter on the forum as it is there for a reason, if you avoid the filter you will receive one infraction point, if you continue to avoid the forum filter you will receive a ban. Posting or sharing inappropriate media (images, video or sound) violates the fansite way and also our regulations. Posting inappropriate media will receive in an automatic ban.

3. Do not double post

Please do not double post on the forum. If you wish to edit your last post please click the edit button found next to the quick reply button on your last post, there is a time limit on doing this. If you run over the time limit please wait till someone else posts then either quote your last post or post your correction under where the other user has posted. If you double post you will be warned if you continue to do so you will receive an infraction. If you notice you have double posted in a thread, and the time stamp between each post is within 30 minutes - you should report it yourself. If you report your own double post to be merged, you will only receive a warning and no infraction will be given. The exception to this rule are within the 'Spam Box' and in 'Forum Games' forums.

4. Do not pointless post

Please do not pointless post on the forums, for an example of a pointless post it could be something completely off topic like just saying "lol" to a thread. There is no need for this so just add some on topic content to your posts. If you post off topic you will be warned, continue to do so and you will receive an infraction.

5. Do not bump old threads

Please do not bump threads more than 1 month old in any forum (unless it is within a stickied thread) and also please do not bump your own threads. You don't need to bump your own thread, it will get replied to in time. Bumping refers to the last post date in a thread with respect to the new post made - the time between these posts cannot be greater than 1 month. The exception to this rule is in the 'Elite Graphics' forum.

6. Do not advertise other forums

Here at HFFMForum we have a strict rule of not advertising any other forums. If you are found advertising any forums anywhere around the forums, Habbo or non-Habbo. You will receive an infraction.

7. Do not share any personal information

It is strongly recommended that you do not share any personal information on the forum, this is not to be picky, it's for your own safety. We don't let you do this because it could be in breach of account security and that's of the utmost importance to the forum staff. Of course, if you feel you can trust the person who wants your details, please personal message them and not post it on the forum. Things that we recommend that you do not share are as follows.
• Posting your Telephone number.
• Posting your Home address.
• Posting your MSN/Email address.
Please note, we do not tolerate users who share personal information of other users or post images of other users without their permission. If you are found to have posted an image(s) without the consent of the person(s) in the image(s), then the image will be removed and the offending user will be infracted.

8. Do not bully or encourage bullying of other users

HFFMForum does not tolerate any bullying on the forum what so ever. Bullying is against our rules as well as the Habbo way. Management and Moderators take bullying extremely seriously on the forum, if you are found bullying you will be banned for a week if you continue to bully other users when your ban is up, you will be permanently banned.

9. Respect all decisions made

As a general ruling our administrators and moderators decision is final. Therefore what they say officially goes, do not take it upon yourself to make a new thread telling every user on the forum that a moderator was wrong as it will be closed immediately. If you do think a moderator is wrong, then please personal message either Carnio or Fluer, they are the forum managers and they will sort it out.

10. Do not post commercial advertising

We do not appreciate commercial advertising, anyone found commercially advertising on HFFMForum will face serious consequences. To clarify, commercial advertising is advertising anything that will make you money directly, e.g. Your own hosting site. Posting a link to an established business is allowed, e.g. Asda.

11. Do not use unauthorized BBCode/vBCode

Here at HFFMForum you are not permitted to use the administrator and moderator codes, these are strictly for the forum staff to use as the codes were made for them. If you are found using the admin/mod commands you will be formally banned for one day.

12. Do not post hacking/threatening links

Do not post any hacking/threatening links anywhere on HFFMForum, these links for example could be to keylogging sites, session stealers and anything that will either gain access to a users personal information or computer illegally. If you do this you will be banned permanently and your IP address will be finding it's way to the authorities, as doing so is illegal.

13. Do not be racist

Here at HFFMForum we are very strongly against racism and sexism of any form, if you are found anywhere being racist anywhere on the forum you will be permanently banned and you may even have your IP address banned.

14. Do not start/participate in arguments

We do not condone arguing on this forum.  If you are found arguing on the forum your thread will be deleted and you will get an official warning, yes you are allowed your opinion, but sometimes people can take them opinions a bit too far.

15. Do not make fun of the way people look

As Habbo have the picture rule relaxed, some people will have their picture as their avatar, if you make fun of the way a person looks you will be permanently banned. Please do not post images of other users without their permission or edits of an image of another user without their permission. If a user is found to do this, then the offending user will be infracted/banned.

16. Signature restriction size

Your forum signature size cannot exceed 650 x 400 for a single image. All images within the signature with dimensions greater than this will be removed without prior-notice and a warning will be given. This also applies to any signature that has greater width than the default forum skin and stretching beyond the forum borders (i.e. maximum horizontal size for signature is 650px). Included within the signature restriction size is that the signature area must not stretch beyond 650px vertically. In addition if your signature exceeds 15 lines of text you will also receive a warning.

17. Ban reasons

Ban reasons imposed on another member shall not be discussed on the forum, these ban reasons are for the user only and have nothing to do with the other users on the forum, only the member(s) involved.

18. Do not remove staff warnings.

It is against the rules to edit or remove the moderator/administrator warnings. These are put in place for a reason and are recorded down so tampering with these can be fairly annoying and we would lose place of what were doing and may infraction you again accidentally. If you remove or edit the Mod/Admin warning you will receive an infraction.

19. Account sharing

It is against the rules to share an account, the account you have is your own and only you are permitted to use it. If you are found account sharing both the accounts will be banned permanently as administrators have tools in place to find out who has been on who's account.

20. Warning/Infraction reasons

Any warning/infraction reasons imposed on your account or another member shall not be discussed on the forum. If you believe that the warning/infraction was invalid, incorrect or unjustified, then please PM either iw., Fluer or MrCorn.

21. Discussing Illegal Activity

Please do not discuss/advertise anything illegal which can be accountable in the United Kingdom or by Sulake Corporation Oy. HABBO. This does include file sharing, giving out links to such websites which may offer illegal services, passing on details to someone/somewhere else who may provide illegal services or providing illegal services yourself. You will automatically receive an infraction and may be permanently banned depending on the circumstance. (This rule is for those who share knowledge/advertise of illegal behaviour on the forum. This rule does not cover those about being hacked and asking for help as that falls under safety of the forum user.)

22. Using Alerts

We do not allow unauthorised users to use admin/management/moderator/other alerts on the forum. If you attempt/pretend/purposefully-with-intent to use any alerts on the forum, you will receive an infraction. Only those staff who have been told they are allowed, will be able to use them.
